100 Word Challenge: "Let's Get Crazy"

I had this boyfriend whose last name had seven consonants. During the day we’d sell engagement rings, gold chains and watches at the mall. At night we danced. “Let’s Go Crazy” was topping the Billboard. We took those Prince words literally.

Once, in a deserted club lot, we got caught twice by the same cop on top of each other (Kissing!) in the passenger seat. Flashing a glaring light in the window he yelled, “Move it!”

These were messy times. I didn’t know what I wanted, or who. But what I remember mostly was he loved to brush my hair.

Using the word  "Job" as inspiration for a 100 word piece. We could use the word, or it can be implied. Thanks for the prompt, Tara (Thin Spiral Notebook)! It is always fun to participate in your 100 Word Challenge!

A little bit of craziness in youth is a good thing, especially when it comes with getting your hair brushed.

Love that you used the prompt for your own Prince tribute. Those were crazy days.

Sure is! Nothing compares to having your hair brushed (almost)!

Jenner doesn't have enough consonants.

What's funny is that wasn't necessarily on purpose. It was that year and time that I wanted to capture. But yes, Prince was involved in my formative years!

If you translate it into Polish it does.

Gina said...

Hahahaha! Yes! And this guy was of Polish descent.

I figured it was a decent guess. Got a million relatives from and still in Chicago and I paid attention to a few stories so...

I figured you knew because what other nationality/language is like that. Maybe other Eastern European descents? German is a little that way, too.

"from and still in Chicago" on a beautifully fresh and sunny day like today, you can't beat it!

Chicago has 90 days of nice weather, none of them are consecutive. :)

Now, Jack. That is not a true statement. We have at least 100, and sometimes they come two in a row.
