Dammit, wasn't happy about that one. Trying to be happy for large numbers of family and friends.

I suppose my grandfathers are happy about it...maybe.

It's finally our turn for some fun and excitement as far as baseball is concerned. It's crazy! Been a Cubs fan from birth. Can't lie; it feels great. Of course I want them to go all the way but winning the pennant meant so much. Gravy from here. And these kids aren't superstitious like we are. They just go out and play. There were a few scary moments when they lost their bats. Hopefully they stay found. The city is adorned with Cubs blue everything, even the skyline is blue and the skyscraper window spell out "Go Cubs Go".

I think your grandfathers would love it ;-)!!!

I couldn't believe they haven't been in the World Series in forever. I guess I'd got confused because they had been in the National League Championship. I bet you are excited. I still remember the first time the Braves were in the World Series (in my lifetime). John and I had been married about a year. It was all anyone talked about. We went to a game. I think I still have the ticket somewhere. ENJOY.

Since 1945. Last year they lost in the championship series. Actually got swept, if I'm remembering. Haven't won in 108 years! It's fun in the city. Cubs caps on the Art Institute lions! Cubs stuff everywhere. I looked into tickets as soon as they won on Saturday and the price for first game, standing room only, was about $2,500. I don't think we will have a ticket stub keepsake like you. So fun you do though! It will be an exciting and nail biting week ahead!
