WWW Wednesday: Books On Books On Books!

This is the first time I am participating in WWW Wednesday at Should Be Reading.

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

I am currently reading:

On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan
Loving every second of it. I’m desperately trying to finish it today even though I’d like to savor it!

I recently finished:

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (of Gone Girl fame)

Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan (I guess I’m on a kick!)

I think I will next read:

Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walters (I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile)
or

Where’d You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple
or

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn.

I have all three on order through Amazon so I hope they get here quickly otherwise I will have to start something I have lying around here.

What are you reading?

I love book recommendations so please share them!

I've only read one Ian McEwan book but I really enjoyed it. One day I would like to read another...so many books, so little time.

My WWW Wednesday can be found here.

I've read Ian McEwan's Atonement and loved it. I'm thinking of reading Sweet Tooth, but I'm not totally sure yet. The only Gillian Flynn I've read is Gone Girl, which I absolutely loved, even though I hated the characters. lol

I told myself that I'm going to finally read all of the books on my To Read list -- in order. Currently I'm reading A Brief History in Time by poet Shaindel Beers. I'm no longer a huge poetry reader, but I'm really enjoying this one. Next I'll be reading Keep the Aspidistra Flying by George Orwell.

This is my third and I love them all. I agree...so many books, so little time. And I'm really trying to make more time for reading. I'd like 50 books this year. We shall see.

I loved Atonement, too. You should read Sweet Tooth. It's a very quick read and I loved the characters. Unlike the characters of Gillian Flynn who you don't/will not love the same way but the stories are so very good but so VERY dark. Sharp Objects is the same and I maybe liked it even better than Gone Girl.

I am far too impulsive to commit to reading anything in order especially my "to read" list. I get caught up in something and off I go. I will check out both the Beers and Orwell books. Thanks for sharing, Bee. Are you on Goodreads?

this girl NEEDS to pick up a book and read - i never do it anymore - NOT a good thing!

I've read a zillion (well not quite but a lot). What do you like? Because you do need to read if you enjoy it and it's NOT a good thing if you enjoy it and you AREN'T. Just my $.02.

This is a fun link-up! I just finished World Without End (Follett). Now I'm reading The Flight of Emma Hardy (Margot Livesey)

Ok, Ian McEwan is definitely on my To Read list now. I just finished The Panther by Nelson DeMille, I am in the middle of John Grisham's latest, The Racketeer, and I have Vince Flynn's new thriller The Last Man waiting in the wings.

Headed right over to Goodreads to check this out!

Yes! It's a kick but I can get that way sometimes with an author. You should read Atonement. I loved it.

I think you would love Sweet Tooth based on what you're telling me here. I have The Racketeer by Grisham. My hubby read it on vacation so I will read at some point. I have three books arriving today, I hope, otherwise its off to B&N or picking up a book I have around here. We already discussed On Chesil Beach.
