Trifecta: Souvenirs

Kitzbuhel and the Alps at night, skytracer.com

Opposing Vail,

Newlywed wives planned instead a cheap flight to Kitzbuhel’s slopes.

Spilling every last drop on Austrian cobblestones,

And reimbursing broken bed fees,

Naught remained for keepsakes.

Life’s memento arrived 9-months later.

    1. We'd been married 11 months and used our last $$$ to reimburse the innkeeper. We are reminded of it often by these friends.

    1. Back in the "wild" days, Kymm! It taught us to have more money with us on crazy vacations in case we broke another!

    1. I didn't think I'd get it in before I left to go out of town. Decorating and cards take many hours. I've done the cards and half the decorating. Have to get my act together.

    1. The innkeeper was upset and kept saying it was a new bed when we arrived. We looked at each other in disbelief but paid her to replace the broken slates. I swear... But our friends get a kick out of saying we truly broke it. I still don't think we did ;-)

  14. Gina, this is great. I love this. I'm kind of angry that this is community-judged, and I'll have to trust everyone else to love it, too. :-)
