Gargleblaster! Thursdays at the minibar

lakeview-bars.com

The bass starts floor bumping earnestly around 11:00, climaxing at 2:00, then waning. Flipping on the fan, I roll over. The gyrating guys in blue silk speedos beckoning from the first floor window should have been a clue to another sleepless night.

Nightclub music/sound seems to carry (and thump) forever. I can feel the atmosphere reading your words. Nicely done, Gina!

Hahaha!!! Heavens NO! We live in an ultra quiet neighborhood. My daughter lives on the third floor directly above this place. Can't imagine how it feels on the second floor. We bought her a fan so she can sleep a little before she has to leave for work at 6:25am!

I can feel the bass of a car next to or behind me with open windows! This is a hopping' club in Boystown! I'm happy you could feel the thump of this, Jo-Anne.

I still hear that bass in my dreams! I like the tone of this--a little humor goes a long way!

Awesome!

Haven't we all? She loves the neighborhood, and it's fine on Fridays and Saturdays when sleep isn't as much of an issue, but on Thursday nights...

Thanks!

I can relate. It's noisy living in the city. If it were absolutely quiet, she'd notice that now too! Thanks, Tina. And yes it does!!!

Ack. That's a costly Thursday for sure. :) Thanks for gargleblasting, Gina!

I looooove the earnest climaxing, then waning! Maybe just enjoy the gyrating boys in Speedos...
Made me remember the basketball hoop under my window the year after college...

The poor thing! My daughter has to be up so early for work. It has cost her many minutes/hours of tossing and turning, but the fan helps!

Thanks, kymm! I wrote it specifically that way because it is kind of a gyrating, crazy, foam party kind of bar. Don't think she realized, what kind, until she was entering her stairwell the first time the curtains were open and the guy was dancing. She told me last week that she recognizes the regular dancers and waves to them. They're RIGHT there! She said they don't wave back!

I can feel the thump too. Very evocative - "The gyrating guys in blue silk speedos beckoning from the first floor window." Unique and interesting take, Gina!
