Ugly Monsters

"What'll it be tonight, pal?"

"Ugly monsters!"

"You know..."

"Pweety please, Mommy?"

I tell him anyway

never able to resist that

Sugar-plum face.

Smiling secretly,

hoping

He'll sneak under my covers that night.

Great little glimpse into a parent's secret mind. :) I love the phrase "sugar-plum face."

I miss it....most if the time! Thanks, Christina.

He used to say it that way and "I hungee, Mommy." Now his voice is so very low, sometimes I don't recognize it. Thanks!

At some point we realized he shouldn't be crawling into our bed. Told him his option was his or the floor. He said he liked our carpeting and in the mornings I would find him, not in HIS bec, but behind a big chair or a potted plant in our room. I call him that, still. Along with other things

sounds familiar

My mom asked me yesterday what happened to my voice because she said she misses when I would ask for a 'hangaburger.'

This parenting gig goes quickly.

The sweetness...is too much...gah adorable.

That's the kind of ulterior-motive I can support. This is wonderful work. Thank you for linking up!

Matt used to say THAT too! And "can I have chocolate andoo (for fondue)?" for fondue on his birthday.

Like lightening!

And in my closet. And small enough to be in my drawers! Yeah, he was a scaredy cat!

Thanks, Ivy!

I miss them terribly! Yes, he was/is sugar plum face and my daughter is sugar plum fairy or Pickles (I don't know why). And I'm all about ulterior motives!

Definitely hard to resist! Half-ish back (no real computer but I'm trying) and thank you for the warm welcome, Tina!

I have them ever so rarely anymore but he still loves a back rub when he's home! I take what I can get. Thanks so much for commenting.
