Skinny Dipping, Partie Deux

Sleeplessness = Unplanned Trifextra Entry******************************************* For this weekend's Trifextra prompt, take one of our former 33 word entries and build upon it with another 33 words. Okedoke!!! ****************************** Something about this place; something about them alone in a rented Mackinaw cottage. Blistering heat at midnight seduced Gabby to skinny-dip purely to lower their bodies' heat breaking the awkwardness of their reconnection...... Conveniently clinging for warmth in black water, their familiarity felt like ghosts rushing through  intertwined bodies; riding a bike after far too long.  Whispering "I need you"s... Past encountering present. Wrong confronting right. www.trifectawritingchallenge.com

  1. This is great. The first piece was subtly hot and you ratcheted it up a notch for this one! And, nice job bringing us more of this interesting story.

    1. I love romantic stories that have some stress built into them. It's what I imagined would happen if two people in love went skinny dipping ;-)

  2. I completely agree with lumdog. Loved this piece the first time. The addition really turns up the hear and intensity. Love it even more now.

    1. It's what popped into my head at 3am! Kinda warm and intense, I guess. Could have turned it up even more but needed additional word allowance!

    1. Oh, good! I was trying for some warm. Would need AC on cold for what I actually had in mind but didn't have the nerve to submit.

    1. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon...a rapidly beating heart. Yea!

  5. I love how you used the anonymity afforded by "midnight" (part one) and "dark water" (part two) to lower inhibitions.

    1. Tapping tip of nose with finger...exactly why that time of day was used. Dark/black/ midnight = comfortable in their skin (particularly because its bare!).
