[lingering kiss]
"Going to the corner for eggs unless you'd prefer donuts. Don't you dare move one perfect muscle. Here's the remote. Books are under the nightstand. Relax! Oh, there're cameras to dissuade snooping, but, really, make yourself completely at home!"

There is definitely something creepy going on here!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
DeleteOooohhhhhh, what a charmer!
ReplyDeleteWatch out for them, right?
DeleteHmmm...cameras? Relax is probably the last thing she will do!
ReplyDeleteI think she's kidding, but if I were him I'd be good just in case!
DeleteDon't know why it reminds me of Gone Girl
ReplyDeleteKind of creepy maybe?
DeleteBet she's regretting she didn't know about the cameras earlier. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Just realized I'm assuming it's a man speaking.
Yay!!!!! Cynk, it's the woman saying it to the guy! I wanted to go against what might be considered more typical.
DeleteI actually did think it was the woman, because of that 'perfect muscle' reference. How very creative!
ReplyDeleteThat is EXACTLY why I used that phrase as a clue to the narrator. Thank you for noticing and visiting!
DeleteFirst dates /nights are so romantic ;)
ReplyDeleteNice write Gina.
Thanks Kir! Miss you!
DeleteI see you have met my ex.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Well, no but...if you say so!
DeleteLove it! I thought it was a female narrator based on "one perfect muscle." I'm wondering what shenanigans he pulled for the cameras for her to watch later.
ReplyDeleteIf it were me, being him, I would pull so much sass on her and do all sorts of things for her "supposed" camera!
DeleteI like her sass and the lingering kiss is a nice touch to start this off.
ReplyDeleteThe kiss is to set up her desire and interest, and I love sass! Thanks for the comment, Nate!
DeleteUp until the camera comment, I got the distinct feeling that the guy was somehow chained or kept in place. The 'don't move a muscle' comment lending to that theory and her having to give him the remote and the books within reach. Intriguing indeed.
