"Ugly monsters!"
"You know..."
"Pweety please, Mommy?"
I tell him anyway
never able to resist that
Sugar-plum face.
Smiling secretly,
hoping
hoping
He'll sneak under my covers that night.

ReplyDeleteI miss it....most if the time! Thanks, Christina.
Delete"Pweety please" - too cute :)
ReplyDeleteHe used to say it that way and "I hungee, Mommy." Now his voice is so very low, sometimes I don't recognize it. Thanks!
DeleteGreat little glimpse into a parent's secret mind. :) I love the phrase "sugar-plum face."
ReplyDeleteAt some point we realized he shouldn't be crawling into our bed. Told him his option was his or the floor. He said he liked our carpeting and in the mornings I would find him, not in HIS bec, but behind a big chair or a potted plant in our room. I call him that, still. Along with other things
Deletesounds familiar

ReplyDeleteThis parenting gig goes quickly.
Matt used to say THAT too! And "can I have chocolate andoo (for fondue)?" for fondue on his birthday.
