Be Honest! You'd Be Grumpy Too!

Are you tired of hearing me say I’m grumpy?

Can you now understand why I say, “I’m grumpy”?

This picture pretty much sums up what it’s like here on March 21st.

Actually, I’ll correct that a bit.

It was like that last night as I watched gigantic flakes fall outside my window. Today it’s 17 degrees but sunny.

The only problem I see with 17 degrees and sunny besides that it’s 17 degrees, is that your sunglasses immediately fog up making it extremely difficult to see while driving.

I want warm weather.

Excessive and elongated spells of cold weather make me grumpy.

Therefore, I am!

    1. It's supposed to warm up to 30 something this weekend then I WON'T wear a coat during that heat wave. Last year, this time, it was 80! But even that is unseasonable.

  2. Even the people I know who love winter are DONE WITH WINTER ALREADY. So, I feel you. I try not to complain even though I detest being cold. But this? This is ridiculous (and then I further torture myself by looking at last year's temps for this week (last week we had a string of 80 degree days in 2012. This week last year we were at high 60. Although DC hasn't had much snow this year, the cold has just been downright...cold. High today is 38. Yes, yes, I know that beats 17.

    1. 38 would feel incredible. It's so fake outside. Tricking me to dress one way then blasting us with cold. Warmer now but for heaven sake, it's end of MARCH. However we have had snow on Easter quite often. Bah humbug!

  4. I know I shouldn't complain, but I miss snow!!! We never get to see it here in southeastern North Cackalacky and it is hot as hell here in the summer. I'm talkin' can't even go outside without ruining your outfit with sweat kinda hot. Anyway, we make sure to go visit snow at least once a year. This year I got lucky and saw it 3 times. WHOO HOO!!!!

    1. I love snow... For about a month and until precisely January 15th. Then see ya!

Last summer, the end of June through the entire month of July, it was over 100 which is unseasonable (humid too ). I wouldn't like every summer to be that way! I get what you're saying.

I remember your family went boarding/skiing. I miss those trips. They were our vacation of choice when our kids were small through high school.

oh I'm cold just looking at that picture.
You need a comfy "bunny" (this is what we call blankets in our house)
and a little nip in your hot cocoa.

    BRRRR.

  7. It's freeezing in New York too. It's weird because Passover is next week, and that always signals "SPRING" in my brain. But it's not supposed to be warmer than the 40s, so looks like it's Passover in winter clothes this year. I love the cold weather, but I'm about ready for spring now.

  8. If it makes you feel any better it's cold for us too. Well it's cold to us. I'm sure you'd gladly trade. I'll get grumpy when were still having 90 degrees in the fall.
