As for jet lag, it hit me hard when I went to China but I don't remember it being so bad when I came back. Worked pretty well once my brain adjusted. Yes, it feels like you ran into a wall, and there is nothing you can or want to do but close your eyes immediately.

I actually started dozing off under water at work last week. I was power washing the coral and the vibration and drone lulled me. Had to stop and get out of the tank!

Either I read somewhere (probably) or someone told me that the recovery period is one hour per day to adjust back. That's 10 3/4 days? I don't have that kind of time! Right now, I am struggling to stay awake. Lying on the couch reading probably isn't helping but it's all I want to do. I could fall asleep this very minute. I assumed we were all -on the hour- hours apart. Jet lag is hard. When we were stationed overseas before my husband had to start work, we were hanging out in town. We didn't have a car yet so took the bus from our lodge. It was 2:00 in the afternoon when it felt like someone had given us a drug. We had so far to walk (seemingly) to get a bus back to our room and then I think we slept for the rest of the day. Kenya G.
